We ended up in Custer, just as the much-needed rain began. Henna was thrilled: the grass, the pine scent, the old friends, and the crisp, fresh air up here. But Beate and I feel right at home too. Setting up camp was out of the question, so we took a breather after the days of traveling and were delighted by Hope’s dinner invitation. So the kitchen remained untouched that evening. We have such great friends!
This morning began with morning dew and sunshine. What a welcome! My two girls were happy and over the moon when they returned from their two-hour walk.
We used today to clear out the car and set up our little circus. The seating area and a few small items are still missing, but we can now welcome guests and spend time outside when the weather is nice! Open for business!
